You have Penco lockers in your school corridors, locker rooms, or employee lounge. Several of them have handles that are hanging loose, and do nothing when you pull on them. Does this scene look familiar to you? If you have Penco lockers, it probably does.
Penco locker handles are notorious for failing. In fact, the Penco projecting handle is our number one seller among the hundreds of locker repair parts that we sell.
Fortunately, there is an easy fix. We sell the two-part handles that will get your lockers back in working condition quickly.
First things first, though. You need to begin by getting the lockers open so that you can take the old handle off. The way to do this easily is to take the claw of a hammer, grab onto the handle lifter, and give it a hard tug downward. The lifter should come out of the housing and land on the floor. Next, take a small flat-head screwdriver and insert it through the handle housing, fishing around to the left until you find a small opening in the lock bar. Once you've found the hole, insert the end of the screwdriver into it and pull up. As the lock bar goes up, pull the door open. It's as simple as that.
After you've opened the door, reference the video below on how to install the new handle. If you have any questions, give us a call anytime at 800-377-1218 or send an email to service@lockerhardware.com. And be sure to check out our website at www.lockerhardware.com. Happy locker repairs!
